


NEWSTEAD BREWING CO
ROLE: copywriter, designer
A brand created from the ground up, with a clever and ambiguous backstory - Newstead Brewing Company is a craft beer house who’s beer (and story) have captivated Brisbane locals and national beer drinkers alike. The first campaign shown was about the Newstead Brewery opening in Milton and addressed the fact that the iconic XXXX Brewery is around the corner. I worked on the headlines and designs and these were used across Facebook, Instagram, outdoor and digital.
With their bottled beers popular, Newstead knew it needed a smooth transition into their next big thing - canning their beer. For this campaign, the biggest issue was to address any myths about canned beer being worse than bottled beer. We played on the idea of beer being fresher and better looked-after in cans. I was responsible for the copy and design for the campaign which spanned over Facebook, Instagram and print (posters and trade presenter). Another fun fact: air-tight light proof beer tubes started to trend and is becoming part of the Newstead beer fan vernacular (which is pretty damn cool if you ask me!)
