THE OSBOURNE HOTEL

ROLE: copywriter, designer

The Osbourne Hotel is a new (but also old) Brisbane venue on the corner on Ann and Constance streets. Since its birth as the original Osbourne Hotel in 1864, it’s had many costume changes - The Rat and Parrot, The Dead Rat and most recently - The Fringe Bar among them. The brief was to develop a logo, style and brand voice for the new hotel, that was in keeping with the ideals of a friendly, modern pub where you can meet your friends for a beer or a feed. I worked to create the tagline ‘Make yourself at home’, and carried this through the rest of the headlines and collateral. The billboards, digital ads, posters, growler and website copy all reflect the core brand messaging as well as building excitement for the opening of the pub.
